RESPITE CARE

When you need temporary/short-term help

Respite care is a special name for a short-term break for caregivers. When you look after you're loved one who is sick or disabled, it’s a 24-hour job. You may need a break from time to time to look after your own needs. That’s where respite care can help.

We are here to provide flexible scheduling. Seeking respite care can help ease the burden of family caregiving and help to relieve stress, restore your energy, and promote balance in your life. It can also prevent you from becoming exhausted, isolated, or even burned out. Respite care can benefit your loved one you’re caring for too, providing them with variety, stimulation, and companionship.

COVID-19 RESPONSE

As we follow COVID-19 updates, we want to provide full transparency on how we are handling the pandemic. At Sunshine Care Services LLC, we take priority in everyone’s health, both physically and emotionally.

We stay in compliance with the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) & Washington State DOH (Department of Health) to ensure we are always steps ahead in taking safety proactive measures.

As everything has been changing at a rapid pace, we’ve been making changes each day on the precautions and safety measures we have been taking to support our caregivers and clients.

  • The latest COVID-19 training is required before employment on symptoms and signs to be aware of, not only for themselves but clients.

  • All caregivers must complete the COVID-19 questionnaire before each shift, and complete it for our client at the beginning of each shift. If there are any changes, they are to report them immediately to our office.

  • We will continue to have ongoing online training on infection control and specific COVID-19 related courses as new information emerges.

  • Caregivers that have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19, traveled to a location on the CDC advisory list in the past two months, or started showing symptoms of the illness will not be placed with a client. We will follow DOH recommendations for Return to Work Guidelines.

We will get through this incredibly difficult time together. We are very thankful for our clients & dedicated care team of caregivers.
